Here are some of the sobering facts.
The numbers seem abstract, but behind each and every digit is a beloved son, daughter, husband, wife, child, grandparent…
Each number represents a human being with a vibrant life, with friends, family and community around them.
And each and every one of the innocent hostages taken represents exactly the same ‘being’ in community.
The difference being that ‘genocide’ and ethnic cleansing has been taking place for over a year. We’ve all been witnessing it, live streamed on our phones. The government has said so….clearly!
The Western powers are supporting it.. and Human Rights laws have been consistently ignored and defiled. And while you will read about the terrible fires in areas of Los Angeles today, across every media outlet. You’ll read almost nothing about the daily fires from bomb explosions across the Gaza Strip.
This is the world of denial and disparity we all live in.
