Periods can cause significant changes in your body, including temporary weight gain of up to 3 kg for some women. These fluctuations are often due to water retention, bloating, cravings, disrupted sleep, and more. It’s easy to feel like your weight loss goals are slipping further away.
If you’re on a weight loss journey and find yourself being overly critical of your progress during hormonal shifts, remember that you’re not getting an accurate reflection of your hard work. It’s normal, and you’re not alone—I still have months where it affects me too.
The best approach I’ve found is to avoid weighing yourself during that week and lean on support, like a coach, to keep you focused and motivated.
