Elisa Sednaoui Instagram – Bullying, mocking, exclusion: things so many of us have experienced, either personally or in a classroom we’ve been part of. This is why at Funtasia, we work with educators and students to concretely shift this dynamic.
There are ways to prevent hurtful behaviors before they start, and strategies we can all use to manage those moments when they happen. And maybe the most important part of the journey is learning to trust our own inner voice: deciding which words we’ll let in, which ones we’ll leave outside the door, and which ones we’ll transform into something that strengthens us.
As my mentor and linguistic intelligence teacher @paoloborzacchiello writes in the book we co-wrote:
“The words of others are like seeds that fall on the soil of our hearts: they can either brush off or take root. It depends on the type of soil, whether it is permeable or not.”
Curious about how we approach this? Comment “WORDS” below and I’ll share more.
