After a year filled with incredible creative opportunities and growth, I’m so grateful to be spending time at GoldenEye on my birthday, surrounded by the beauty of nature & love of friends and family. Just an actor on the road with her custom cowgirl hat She was born by a master in the USA. She made her for me as it was intended for a role in a film that recently collapsed due to an actor suddenly falling out a month before filming-these things happen a lot and it’s always heartbreaking a whole domino effect takes place no one talks about. We are just supposed to move on? Well I still have the hat and it was meant for me and I was meant for it and i’m not taking it off any time soon It’s a true work of art

What do you look for in fashion and clothing? “I’m interested in atypical beauty and I want to create worlds away from our own – that’s what I love about filmmaking. It’s also important to me to be and play like a child, like my daughter! She’s five. I want to always be delighted. But yet also, the woman in me, the realist in me, is drawn to naturalism and authenticity. I want to deal with things the way that they are, and I realise that that is a contradiction… But I like contradiction, even in the manner in which I dress myself. This gown that we chose for this evening is a combination of glamour, romance and nonchalance. It almost feels a little disheveled, as if it will fall away with the pull of a string. A ‘slightly disheveled femme fetale’. “I really prefer sensuality when there’s a little humour, or something other than sweetness or prettiness. That’s why I love Venice. It’s got a story, it’s got layers. It’s not just beautiful – it’s mysterious. It’s full of contradictions and surprises.”

This year doesn’t quite feel real. It is surreal. Impossible to encapsulate with words or images. There has been a whole lot of abundance trimmed with a whole lotta sacrifice. This year, I worked really, really hard. I also did good deeds for good people that I saw flourish from a far. Personally, I experienced the juggle of what it means to be a “single-working-momma”. I have been torn asunder. I treaded carefully. I fell. I failed. I got back up. I learned lessons they just don’t teach you. A lotta long distance calls, a lot of painful separation, and fear. But I also made countless new friendships and made fascinating discoveries. I charted completely unknown territory and reaped great rewards. My strength and resilience often surprised me. Patience and understanding. What I found, that is perhaps most important of all, is a great well of love inside of me. Challenges transformed me into a better version of myself. I’m so grateful for my supportive partner, Joe, plus friends and family who got us through ups and downs. I am profoundly grateful for little angels keeping me afloat and honestly I am quite proud of myself for being so big and brave and fierce. V too. I feel I have set a good example for her. It’s important to prioritise your dreams and make them real. I am loose of all limits and imaginary lines. Let this big wondrous mystery unfold ✨
