Skrmetti) questions whether it is it fair to deny trans people care just BECAUSE they’re trans. 🚧 Gender-affirming care for minors usually is non-medical, social things like clothes, pronouns, or name changes. But when medically necessary, doctors prescribe the SAME types of medications and treatments that non-trans patients receive without pushback. Ultimately, the goal is to allow trans youth to develop socially and personally in a non-threatening, comfortable way that allows them time to figure it out. Some trans folk opt for surgery at a later point, some don’t. But it should be THEIR DECISION.—EASY! 💁🏾♀️
