Shoshannah Stern Instagram – If you’re like me it’s actually harder to watch television now with a small child at home all day. But you must watch @cripcampfilm. I alternated between goosebumps and tears throughout, and finally had my little one join me for a lesson in what civil rights means—standing up for yourself and others. It shows how people like my hero @theheumannperspective, who I was thrilled to get to meet after my panel at Sundance, paved the way for people like me to do what we do and continue the fight. Like the late Steve Hofmann says in the film, “if you are disabled and have a passive nature, you’re really screwed.” Which pretty much sums up why I am the way I am… and how we all need to be.
