He stands grounded and firm as one of the most solid pillars of this industry, having given a plathora of incredibly diverse characters and nuances to our screen. My beginning innings were all about learning how to swim in the deep end of complex narratives across such an acclaimed giant of an actor. Not a single day did he make me feel any less. His experience, efficiency, and deep grasp of the process elevated mine. Such an honor for me to come back to the playing field, full circle, with @faysalquraishi by my side.

Early Years Summit 2025 ‘Winds of Change’ My objective was to demonstrate an interactive storytelling session with a group of children. A technique i use, that works like magic, is turning the spotlight on the child or children listening, luring them into the story with fun antics, asking questions so they feel and emote what the characters of the story are experiencing. The book i chose to reenact is my own children’s hot favorite, ‘The Day The Crayons Called It Quits’. In this wonderfully crafted narrative, a set of crayons write very expressive letters to their young owner, Duncon. They express weariness, grief, anger, concern, happiness, anxiety, enthusiasm, love and a whole range of emotions with belly tickling wit and humor. As i opened each page of the letters, the voice of the crayons became that of the children — their empathy for the crayons heightened, and they heard their own voices heard. This with a receptive audience of academics, the hall came alive with imagination, curiosity, life lessons and laughs! It was pure joy for us all ! . . ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’ Written by Drew Daywalt Illustrated by Oliver Jeffers . . Thank you @tcssro for the opportunity and a day well spent! . . . A platform i have always turned to for inspiration, motivation, education and a pick me up whenever I face a roadblock — Ted Talks @ted — known worldover for giving insights to new approaches to problems and creating viral ideas. Imagine my delight when asked to be a speaker on our very own licensed Tedx Youth, by the City School Northern Region on Early Years Education. I was asked to talk about my approach towards storytelling and narratives as a tool of early years learning and also about @MeissaMama, an edutainment initiative i had taken back in the covid days for children. What an absolute honor to be on Tedx, amongst academic leaders and experts in the early years.
