This year was so full and weird and crazy and huge. The biggest thing I did – quit alcohol. Full stop. It’s been over a year now and my clarity has exploded. I can truly say it’s been incredibly hard and sometimes easy. I did it for many, many reasons, as one does. Mostly because it didn’t work for me in anymore, in any way. And being sober does. Because of this, I’ve deepened friendships, partnerships, said no more, said yes more, drew boundaries, went deeply inward thus been more able to be brighter, bolder, more authentically me! This lead to new acting management and a theatrical agent, booking national commercials, making ridiculously absurd comedy with my fave people all around town, winning numerous film festivals worldwide with my short film, so many callbacks, pins and avails, getting nominated for another Grammy, expanding my private creative coaching business to dozens of gorgeous souls, being hired to lead workshops, be a keynote speaker, asked to be on councils, boards and committees, becoming a lucrative accidental influencer, pushing my second film begrudgingly through post, being the best parent that I can personally be, making choices that helped us build our home studio and build my home creative office trailer, attending more doctor appointments for MYSELF than ever before. I hosted events, gatherings, potlucks. Got truly healthier (on purpose) in my body, supported family, expanded my love for my husband, processed loss, grieved, celebrated and felt more like the person I know I am than ever before. It was a year of rebuilding, evolving and solidifying. That’s hard for me. Usually, I’ve done a million projects and sold sixty thousand things – this year seems quiet on the outside, but it was more expansive than ever before. More work, more rest, more bliss, more understanding, more therapy, more love. I cannot imagine what 2025 will look like because I sure didn’t expect this one to go like this. I’m grateful I broke my foot in Italy at the end of 2023. Weird right? But, the emotions I processed brought me here. And here is a pretty fabulous place. Happy New Year.
