Amy Huberman Instagram – Okay yes so a few qwezzies about the cottage pie which is absolutely fair seeing as I added half a pot of Greek yogurt to it out of nowhere because some person on the internet told me to (well to be fair it was a chef on a cooking website.)
And if some chef on a cooking website told you to jump off a cliff with a pot of Greek yogurt for the cottage pie would you? Yes! Yes I would!
It was quite a scary moment but with some guided breathing and a “can do” attitude I plonked that yogurt right in there.
My taste tester feedback is I might actually add MORE next time (I know, I know, don’t be too needy with the yogurt, you’re only getting to know each other etc etc…)
The other thing some of you guys asked me was how I did the potatoes which made me beam with pride until I remembered it wasn’t from some innate culinary wisdom but rather me literally reading instructions like I was assembling a Hot Wheels car tower for one of the kids (Christmas Day flashback, I’m fine.)
Anywho, those spuds were peeled, sliced and popped in a pot to boil and then simmer away to themselves like any one of us with a little grudge. Ten mins later they were drained and then arranged atop the Rachel Greene thanksgiving trifle.
So the recipe is just the mints, oh sorry mince, onions, carrots, peas, tin of chopped tomatoes, seasoning, stock, Greek yoghurt, spuds, cheese. And scene.
