I am calling you today to strongly oppose the fire debris sorting site at topanga canyon Blvd and Pacific Coast Highway due to both environmental AND public health risks. With rain continually in the forecast – this site is within a flood zone. It is highly likely for toxic runoff to enter the Santa Monica Bay further delaying its safety for public use. This could impact the future of several vital industries such as entertainment, tourism and sports like the upcoming Olympics.
I urge you to use your power as the Governor to immediately close the sorting site at Topanga Creek for its threat to public health, the economy and the environment for the entire LA county if not the state of California.
