Happy FIRST Birthday to our angel boy, Everest Grey. You are one year old and you are one special little boy. Your soul is pure light. You smile and laugh and dance and are so full of joy that everyone around you becomes joyful in your presence too. You are all the best parts of me and your dad – with a touch of our impatience sprinkled in there too 😂. You know what you want, you love to talk, you sit at dinner with no screens or toys and just eat and talk and laugh. One year of breastfeeding you, cuddling you to sleep, waking up to your joyful face that changes every day (and gets more beautiful somehow).
I love you with a love so deep that it consumes me and frees me all at once, my darling boy. Mommy will love you for eternity and I’ll always be here to support you and hold your hand and love on whoever you become in this magical earthly experience.
@iambooogz one year of parenting on the books and WE DID THAT. No shortcuts, little to no help, just us locked in and loving each other and showing up for him completely every single day. We have shown up fully, transparently, vulnerably and honestly and I have fallen more in love with you watching you be everything I’ve ever hoped for in my child’s’ father. We’ve never missed one day of his life and have grown closer through every trial and triumph. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us, thank you for who you are and all you do for our family.
