Imagine being dumb enough to not see the pattern in historic events.
1. Women get the right to vote (1920) = MeToo (2017)
2. Global pandemic (1918-1920) = COVID (2020-2022)
3. Economic crisis due to end of war and pandemic (same for both eras) due to dead workers, shortage of materials, and predatory companies maintaining inflation even after the virus subsided.
4. Rise in anti immigrant/ anti female/ anti-queer and trans sentiment from right wing groups. They gotta blame SOMEONE, amiright?!?!
5. Mussolini plays on fear and humiliation in 1920s Italy = Trump plays on fear and humiliation in 1920s USA
6. Sweeping govt reforms that target the marginalized and consolidate power with a few wealthy dictators and their very own broligarchs.
So how is this gonna go? We just gonna keep on with the march towards dictatorship??
More black “Take America Back” flags popped up in my town today. Should we just let facism stay comfortable?
