Jane Goodall Instagram – In and around Los Angeles, Roots & Shoots groups are stepping up to support those affected by the recent wildfires 🤝💚
 
When Roots & Shoots parent Daya saw one of @janegoodallinst ‘s collaborative posts about a local @collidescopefoundation donation drive, she knew she had to act! 🌟
 
We talked to Daya back in January, when the fires were still active throughout LA. She shared: “I work at a @traderjoes in Huntington Beach and all week I have been talking to customers who have been affected directly by the L.A. fires. Some customers lost their homes completely and are staying with relatives in our area. Some families have been evacuated and are staying with friends in our area too. So I decided to inspire hope with action.”
 
With permission from her store captain, Daya set up a fire relief drive in the store. Within a day, the donation box was full; in just three days, thanks to contributions from coworkers, customers, and her son’s school, they were ready to deliver supplies to the Collidescope Foundation drive! 📦🥫
 
“I was absolutely inspired by Jane’s words ‘Inspire hope through action’. I felt obligated to do something and everything fell into place to make it happen.” 🫶
