You’d think that sharing with your child your reasons, after empathetically listening to your child’s plea the reason why you are NOT consenting to them having a phone YET, or maybe it’s not being given social media YET, would be a one and done …In the same way your child may of asked to do many things over their childhood that you said NO to, that may of even endangered them in some way or another, or you felt as their parent/ guardian a very strong measured conviction that right now it was not okay.
So, why are so many of you parents honestly struggling?
I ask the question because it requires you to have to look at yourself and not your children.
Your young teens are doing what teens do, ask, push boundaries,want more sooner.
Why are many of you parents compromising your own values, undisciplined enough that it causes havoc daily in your homes?
If you could take a moment to be vulnerable and courageous with your responses I’d love to hear why you feel you are honestly still struggling. No judgement here just wanting to understand with the raw truth you can provide in the hope I can truly help because you have all the power as it starts at home and yet the home is not peaceful.
