Yes @angelinajolie. Singing opera is so hard. But I often find myself singing opera between takes when I’m on set. I apologize to everyone I’ve worked with who can attest to this fact. There is something about singing and the full bodied involvement that’s required with classical singing that definitely feeds me as an actress. I’m tagging you @zendaya here because your reaction suggests to me how very seriously you’re taking Ms. Jolie’s suggestion. God I love being an artist and I love hearing great artist talk about their process and the work required to aspire to greatness. My experience is that we often fall short of that greatness. But I absolutely love the process of trying to get there.

Former federal workers on their work with the federal government. We have to fight this. Not sure how but the proper education and knowledge about what’s really happening is a start.

We are human beings. We are a small part of the population but we are everywhere. It isn’t always obvious who is trans and who isn’t. If he had identified himself as trans in that moment, all I was thinking about is him having to go back to that grocery store and his safety possibly being compromised. Stay safe everyone. One of my favorite moments hosting #LiveFromE, interviewing the inimitable #DenzelWashington about his brilliant performance as Macbeth. My producer was telling me in my ear to cut to commercial and Mr. Washington was encouraging me to continue to recite the famous speech. So I’m talking real fast here because I absolutely had to know how Mr. Washington approached this iconic monologue in such a new, fresh and chilling way. … “It’s is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Thanks for sharing this @michellebuteau. This is the person I also aspire to be. But I know I often fall short. I’m distracted or stressed, or preoccupied or just tired and I am not able to take that moment to ask how someone is doing, make them feel seen. We must treasure the special ones like @hodakotb with all the demands on her but she still manages to take those moments to make someone feel seen. It’s a reminder to me that there’s more to aspire to and that I can do better, be better. I might not be able to change the world but I can change myself. I already have. More growth coming in 2025. Here we go!

I feel a certain simpatico with people who collect various things. In this brief video as @joannavargasnyc is serving her triple crown facial, she shares her love of collecting vintage beauty products. We discover that through collecting there’s so much history one can connect with through a vintage product, an object, a piece of vintage clothing. It excites the perpetual student in me. It reminds us that we are connected to a history and there’s so much to learn. My prayer for myself and for you is that we never stop learning, that we remain curious, thirsty to seek out knowledge.
