Mary Steenburgen Instagram – Life has been wonderfully ( and sometimes not so wonderfully) intense lately. I have been too busy to think about posting lately but today I’m going for it. The good and the bad. The good massively out weighs the bad, especially two little new babies in our life named Sonny and Tove. They are incredible blessings and we are so grateful to be a part of their little tribes. Because Ted’s show is so wonderful, and Ted in it, we ended up going to lots awards shows, including one where he received The Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globes Gala. Sitting next to one of my comedy heroes was just so meaningful to me. She is as magnificent as you think she might be. Last night at the SAG Awards Ted didn’t win but we had an amazing evening anyway. Part of the thrill was sitting next to my dear friend, Jane Fonda, and being blown away by her beautiful acceptance speech for her lifetime achievement award.
I have a shot of the Palisades Fire that I took on the day it broke out- though we were more fortunate than a lot of people, it caused so much pain and heartbreak to so many, and Ted and I are trying to do what we can to help our city that we love.
The chocolate cake is an old favorite recipe and I made it for my granddaughter’s 13th birthday.
There is a picture of myself and my Aunt Freda taken at her 100th birthday bash that we all threw for her in Arkansas.
