Nadia Jamil Instagram – In the video a young child is EVIDENTLY disturbed and unhappy as an older man touches and prods the child with a stick.
On TWO occasions the child pushes the man’s hand away from his chest and on one occasion pushes the man hands away from a lower part of the child’s body.
The child is crying and utterly lost. They mock the child’s tears.
This is one child in thousands and thousands of children left to fend off predators and users, abusers, in Pakistan.
Children are abused by their own families, in schools ,madrasahs, and the damage is so devastating that they often grow up with serious manic mental health disorders.
As a practitioner working with such children and young adults, I beg the @govtofpakistan to take charge of our children and build a National Child Protection System, that understand and follows the protocols of safeguarding every child’s safety and right to dignity and thriving.
