Oon Shu An Instagram – Do you believe in your own timing?
I find it easier to believe this when I’m alone, but in interactions with other people, my belief in that can sometimes feel not as steady. I wonder, did I miss something? Am I moving too fast/too slow? Am I not moving at all??
I do feel that we live in a world where there are so many imposed timelines that they shift us from listening to our internal timelines, whatever they may have been!
The reminder I’ve gotten from Mother Nature (3 times!! Haha) is: In Your Own Time. Can you imagine me trying to impose MY timeline on this butterfly? Imagine me telling her when to come out, and when to start flying?! Hahah THE AUDACITY. And just because she wasn’t listening to me, does that mean she wasn’t doing anything inside that cocoon? Anyway, if you also wonder about this, I hope you find a way to meet, trust and honour your timeline. It isn’t easy in such a fast moving world!!
It was kinda cool that I got to spend a bit more time with this last one. I think she may have been sleepy? She came out in the daytime but I only got back late at night and wanted to release her asap cos she was flying around a lot. But strangely, after that she didn’t want to come out, and when she did, she kept flying to the floor! Got worried she would get stepped on or something, so I gave her a little assist. That’s ok, right?
