Do you believe in your own timing? I find it easier to believe this when I’m alone, but in interactions with other people, my belief in that can sometimes feel not as steady. I wonder, did I miss something? Am I moving too fast/too slow? Am I not moving at all?? I do feel that we live in a world where there are so many imposed timelines that they shift us from listening to our internal timelines, whatever they may have been! The reminder I’ve gotten from Mother Nature (3 times!! Haha) is: In Your Own Time. Can you imagine me trying to impose MY timeline on this butterfly? Imagine me telling her when to come out, and when to start flying?! Hahah THE AUDACITY. And just because she wasn’t listening to me, does that mean she wasn’t doing anything inside that cocoon? Anyway, if you also wonder about this, I hope you find a way to meet, trust and honour your timeline. It isn’t easy in such a fast moving world!! It was kinda cool that I got to spend a bit more time with this last one. I think she may have been sleepy? She came out in the daytime but I only got back late at night and wanted to release her asap cos she was flying around a lot. But strangely, after that she didn’t want to come out, and when she did, she kept flying to the floor! Got worried she would get stepped on or something, so I gave her a little assist. That’s ok, right? Thank you @mudrockceramics for these babies from your plant, what a joy to witness these little miracles!! 🐛

2025 energyy ☀️ Met a driver the other day who had such a chill and light energy it totally lifted my own mood. I just mentioned it to him and said it was so lovely. And he shared something that I thought was so wise!! “Happy also one day, sad also one day” I MEANNNNN… Damnnn…!!! I’m not into being positive about eeeverything cos that just doesn’t work for me, but THIS FRAMING, wah. LOVE. Edit- i didn’t want to add this at first cos i was worried it’d be too much. But it’s feeling incomplete! Ok. Honestly, everyday is a lot, because there’s so much going on in the world and it can feel insanely overwhelming. This framing works for me because i have the tendency to get in my own head and fritter away individual moments. Sometimes it is necessary reflection, sometimes it is overthinking. So this helps me keep the idea of time in perspective, and that even if things out of my control happen, it reminds me of my agency in each day. Hahahah ok just thought I’d drop it here for anyone else who might like it, whatever your interpretation of it is! And also i love this quote of not letting time gaslight you!! I worked really hard to become someone my younger self would feel safe with this year and I think I’m finally learning how to treat myself like someone I love. I shall celebrate that today✨:) In my thoughts tonight, I hold the people I love. With deep gratitude- the people who have held me with great love and care. The people around the world who are in unimaginable pain. The people who are working to imagine and create a different world. The people who continue to hold on to hope in thought and action. The people who hold themselves and each other with gentleness and honesty in a hard world.
