Amy Instagram – Illuminating podcast today, learning about how consumerism has such a serious impact on the environment, driving resource depletion, waste generation, and pollution.
Basically what it means is that due to our demand for products it is leading to over-extraction of natural resources, contributing to large amounts of waste, and accelerating climate change through carbon emissions from production and transportation đŸ˜¨
Then on top of that, is our constant cycle of production and disposal – which is encouraging the overuse of energy and the destruction of ecosystems, leading to biodiversity loss.
So much to learn, and so much to do to improve. It is our job to ask questions and be BETTER.
