CA Palak Rathi Instagram – I recently reissued my passport, and here’s how you can do it too!
If your passport is expired, damaged, lost, or requires changes(change in name, addition of spouse name etc) follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the Passport Seva Website
Go to passportindia.gov.in and log in or register if you’re a new user.
Step 2: Fill the Reissue Application Form
Click on “Apply for Fresh/Reissue of Passport.” Select the reason for reissue (e.g., expired, lost, damaged, or change in details) and complete the required information.
Step 3: Pay the Fees and Book an Appointment
Pay the applicable fee online and schedule an appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK).
Step 4: Visit the Passport Seva Kendra for Verification
Carry original documents along with photocopies for verification. Your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) will be taken during the visit.
Step 5: Police Verification (If Required)
If your address or personal details have changed, police verification may be necessary.
Step 6: Track Your Application and Receive Your Passport.
You can track your application status online, and once approved, your passport will be delivered via Speed Post.
