CA Palak Rathi Instagram – We tried the government’s free online doctor consultation, and here’s how it went.
The eSanjeevani platform offers free online doctor consultations, making healthcare more accessible across India.
What worked well:
Simple process: Easy to sign up, select your health concern, and choose a doctor.
Plenty of doctors available: The platform has a large pool of doctors from various hospitals.
Instant prescription: Once the consultation is complete, a detailed prescription is generated.
Challenges we faced:
Finding an available doctor: While there are many doctors listed, there’s no direct way to see who is currently online. Users have to manually check each hospital and doctor profile, making the process time-consuming.
Video call issues: The consultation call did not connect despite multiple attempts, which can be a major inconvenience for patients relying on online consultations.
Inconsistent patient statistics: The number of consultations on the website did not update, raising concerns about data accuracy.
The platform has great potential for non-emergency cases, but a few improvements like better doctor availability filters and fixing video call connectivity – could make it more user-friendly.
We’ve also shared this feedback with the respective authorities in the hope that these issues will be addressed.
