This week, the DS pulled me aside to dig into my childhood, career, and journey through sobriety. Deep, vulnerable stuff. As a reality show rookie, you just hope those moments are handled with care. But Special Forces isn’t your typical reality show—it’s raw, it’s unfiltered, and it forces you to face yourself in ways you never expected. Much like recovery, it holds you accountable.
Looking back, I realize that’s exactly why I came. After our conversation, DS Rudy told me: “No matter how hard the training gets, don’t forget to listen to the birds in the sky.” In that moment, I didn’t just feel watched—I felt seen.
I may have been marked a liability in the field, but that only fuels me more that I am back home. I’m walking away with so much more than just eight days—I’m walking away stronger. 💪
