Geena Davis Instagram – We love this. 👏 If you were watching the @televisionacad #Emmys last night, you saw our favorite TV moms shout out the progress TV has made in portraying moms on screen while also calling out a long-standing issue — women still aren’t making as much as their male counterparts, even in Hollywood.
And while TV *has* come a long way in the way moms are represented on screen, our report with @geenadavisorg earlier this year found that there’s still a way to go before moms are accurately and authentically portrayed on TV.
At @momsfirstus, we’re building a world where moms are valued and supported in our workplaces, communities, and culture. And that means changing the way moms show up on screen too.
