-95% of actors playing Jews are perceived as white and around half of people cast to play Jews are confirmed to be Jewish.
– Jewish women are less likely to be cast to play Jewish parts than Jewish men are. Only 44% of Jewish female character characters are played by confirmed Jews, compared to 65% for men.

Decades of research indicate that how a group is represented on screen affects public opinion. In a time of terrifying rising Jew hatred, having this data gives us the tools we need to advocate to studios for the opportunity to educate their creatives so we can have whole, human and proud Jewish representation. This is almost 20 years of work in the making and we’re so grateful to have a clear plan ahead.
