Dunder Mifflin, this is Angela, Erin, Pam and Kelly. When we realized we were all in the same city at the same time we knew we had to make this happen. Thank you ladies for making me laugh so much last night and for all being so real and amazing after a hard year. I love so much! (I also love that we all dressed up! Fashion show, fashion show, fashion show at dinner!)😘
Happy New Year! What a year 2024 was. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my breast cancer surgery. I spent the day in St. Louis surrounded by family doing a belated Christmas with grandparents and cousins after luxuriating at my FAVORITE hotel of all time the @fsstlouis I mean…cozy robe, coffee, book, and that view! (I’ve been angling to be their official ambassador for years. And I won’t give up until it happens 😂). I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are going into this New Year refreshed and energized. I have two more Herceptin infusions and then I will get my port out!! Woot! Hair is growing back (slowly and wildly, but it’s growing). And I’m working out with @bodyfitbyamy to keep my body strong for the long haul. Sending you love and blessings for the New Year!
A big thank you to @hodakotb and everyone at the @todayshow for having me on to talk about my journey with breast cancer. I hope that hearing my story will be comforting to any women out there also on this journey. I’m still walking through this every day. But there are more good days than bad. Being able to put my experience to use somehow helps a lot. And, another reminder to get your mammogram and any follow up tests your doctor recommends. 99% percent of women who receive an early breast cancer diagnosis survive it. Early detection is why my treatment was so successful. A lot of places won’t order a routine mammogram until you are 40 years old or older (unless you feel something) but you can ask your doctor to calculate your Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score and you may qualify for early testing as a result. There is a link in my bio.

I little throwback to the Dunder Mifflin parking lot in honor of @bbbaumgartner who is our guest on Office Ladies today. We are talking All About Kevin Malone! And while Brian joked he hopes to never return to the Dunder Mifflin parking lot (those parking lot scenes were always insane), I personally love this photo of the four of us…I remember the sun was both blaring in our eyeballs AND the wind was biting cold. I believe we were pretending it was spring in Scranton but it was winter in LA. The four of us always had so much fun laughing and doing bits. Thanks for coming in the studio Brian! Your interview and insights are always so great! Link in bio to listen!
Last year, I shared about my own breast cancer diagnosis which was discovered during a routine mammogram and ultrasound. I had been putting them off because… well, because it’s annoying trying to find the time for cancer screenings. Especially when you are juggling work and kids and school and holidays and all the things that come up in life. But luckily, I went when I did. My cancer was found early, and it was treatable. So, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to get your own recommended screenings – this is it. I was fortunate to have flexible work hours for my treatments and screenings. I want everyone to have that same kind of support at work. It makes a huge difference. That’s why I’ve partnered with @workingwithcancerinitiative to help get the word out about their Screening Time Off program. If you’re a boss, here’s your chance to be the world’s best: please join us at workingwithcancerpledge.com (Link in bio) Your health matters—seriously. Take a minute right now to check which screenings you need and book them. And if someone you love needs a nudge, send this their way!
Today on Office Ladies it’s All About Pam Beesly! We collected your questions and I did my best to share all new information about Ms. Beesly. I revealed my Pam Playlist (the songs that helped me get into character between Seasons 2 and 3 – Link in Stories). I shared about some of the ways I’d motivate those glances across the office and what it’s like to have click bait articles written about a fictional romance. Angela, Sam and Cassi prepared a lovely birthday celebration for my upcoming birthday. And, I finally concede the debate as to when Jim and Pam had their first kiss (Dundies or Casino Night) thanks to a previously deleted scene. I loved playing Pam Beesly and loved this chance to deep dive All about Pam! Listen wherever you get your podcasts! Or go to officeladies.com for link and transcript!

As discussed on @officeladiespod today…if you take the movie that was number one at the box office the month and year you turned 10 years old, that is your fortune for the year. Mine is Footloose! So, in honor of my song this year, I grabbed my high tops and leg warmers and danced it up this morning. Incidentally, Footloose has a pretty damn good #guitarriff as well. We also discuss the Webisode Subtle Sexuality on the pod the week. Lots of fun music and music videos today!
Aerosmith has so many great #guitarriff openers. But I had to go with Walk This Way. For some context: I’ve been cast in a movie and I’m doing research for my character backstory. I like to create a song list for characters I play as a way in. The woman I’m playing has a rock and roll past so I’ve been deep diving guitar riffs as a way to find her music. (Incidentally, none of the songs I’ve posted so far have made her actual song list, but I’m having a lot of fun researching.)
Yessssss!!! I’m so excited to be kicking off @goodmantheatre 100th Anniversary Season this Fall with an incredible new play about a family and their small business in Chicago…Ashland Avenue written by #leekirk and directed by #susanbooth We’ve got an incredible cast… @cordeliadewdney @chikejo2019 @wellthatwentwill and #franguinan Can’t wait to get back onstage in such an exciting way!
Today on @officeladiespod we are kicking off the Holidays by breaking down the Stars Wars Holiday Special. Omg. What a train wreck. As a person who only watched Star Wars two years ago this was an interesting experience to say the least. To make things festive I decided to buy the Star Wars Life Day cookbook and make us all some Joh Blastoh punch. (I call in Jon Blastoh in the video…oops) Not shown is the scoop of rainbow sherbet that goes on top. We also got to eat some Banta Stew thanks to @joshuasnyder Listen to todays episode to hear how we liked (or very much didn’t like) the movie, stew and the punch. Link in bio. And may the force be with you!
One of my passions in life is speaking to aspiring actors and giving them any advice or encouragement I can. It’s why I wrote my book The Actors Life. It is crucial as an aspiring artist to have access to people working in the industry you one day hope to call your own. So since I had a day off from filming #NewYearsRev I decided to scoot over to @oudrama Today I had the pleasure of speaking to the drama students at The University of Oklahoma Peggy Dow Hemlerich School of Drama. @oudrama is the 2nd oldest Drama School in the country, second to Yale. The College of Fine Arts just celebrated its centennial last year, and the School of Drama will celebrate its centennial next year. They only accept 16 performance students and 10 design and production students per year. What an incredible group of young, thoughtful artists! Thank you for an inspiring conversation today! You all are ready to be our next generation of performers. Good luck to you all!
Today’s #guitarriff played by @stevelukatherofficial Incidentally, a riff is different from a guitar solo…that’s a whole other list…but Beat It also has a great guitar solo by the amazing @eddievanhalen
Name the episode! We are breaking down the Peacock SuperFan version of this episode today on @officeladiespod There were a lot of things we missed the first time around and 11 minutes of added footage. We hope you enjoy! Add your favorite quote from this episode below!
@joanjett and #rickybyrd Love this #guitarriff Also, my go-to karaoke song.
I grew up watching Star Wars so when Jenna asked me if I could make Chewbacca’s favorite, Bantha Stew… I said why not! Today on @officeladiespod they are breaking down the Star Wars Holiday Special, it brought me right back to the 70’s! Fun episode Office Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the stew!
