Today I celebrate 19 years sober. I am beyond grateful for a loving God, my sponsor @theresafair, the 12 steps, my family, friends and the 12 step community. Theres so many people who have helped and keep helping me along the way. To the greatest gift I received in recovery my husband @timryandopeman . I love you. Thank you for constantly motivating me and inspiring me to be better. I love life with you in every way. You still blow my mind on how open you are to help so many people sick and suffering I am awe struck that God could restore me , a girl that was so broken and shattered into the woman I am today. What a perfect night. It was so much fun filled with laughter and the best of friends. Its pretty amazing to say that @hamilton8213 and I have been friends for 30 years and we revert to our teenage years when we see each other. He is family. Yesterday, my husband, @timryandopeman underwent major mouth surgery. His surgery lasted 8 hours. He had a complicated surgery because he had so much infection and pus in his nasal cavity and they had to rebuild his sinus cavity with cadaver bone. I want to thank @spodakdental , Dr. Santos, Danita and the whole staff who worked on my husband. What a stellar team. Tim wanted me to show this video because he wanted people to know “ this is what happens when you are a sugar addict as a kid like I was, candy addict, soda pop, alcoholic and a drug addict and neglect your teeth”. Tim is in a lot of pain today and recouping, but he will not be able to eat solid foods for the next six months. I’m so grateful to God who had this miraculously worked out for us to have Tim to get a surgery. On our anniversary on New Year’s Eve he took a bite into chicken wings and lost two teeth. He had just lost two teeth prior to that. Yes, this video is funny but it’s also a caution for all of us to take care of ourselves, our self-care and our teeth. Body, mind and our spirit.

Walked out of prison 11 years ago today‼️‼️ #R68915 is retired! Today I have a truly amazing life because I put God and Recovery first, family second and work third.
