Kaye Adams Instagram – Is it too predictable to put up a picture of your mum on International Women’s Day? Maybe …but she ticks all my boxes. Born in 1933 ( she would kill me for revealing that publicly) , she wasn’t a great cook and even worse at the laundry. Many a jumper did not survive ‘the wash’. She was rarely home when I got back from school and I can’t recall her ever attending a sports day . And yet I would not change a single atom of her . She was hard-working , fearless, ambitious and smart. She bowed to no-pne and certainly not to any man and that was what my Dad loved about her ( most of the time 🤪) They were both strong characters and neither pulled their metaphorical punches but their near 60 year long marriage truly was one of equals . As I say, she ticks all my boxes on International Women’s’ Day
