Patrisse Cullors Instagram – On view through May 31st, 2025, don’t miss the film series of works by the founding artists collective and co-founders of the Crenshaw Dairy Mart, artists Patrisse Cullors ( @osopepatrisse ), noé olivas ( @calmatetupedo ), and alexandre ali reza dorriz ( @alexandrealirezadorriz ). The film series is part of the City of West Hollywood Moving Image Media Art Program, an exhibition series administered by the City of West Hollywood, as part of its Art on the Outside program exhibiting films by artists accessible on billboards along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
Each of the artists’ film works traverse through the founding tenets of the artist collective – Abolition, Ancestry, and Healing – investigating in their individual respective practices the sacred act of Black womens’ respite, prayers of caution when pulling at ‘the threads of the world,’ and meditations on water privatization and droughts through time.
