Presented as part of the City of West Hollywood Moving Image Media Art Program ( @wehoarts ), an exhibition series administered by the City of West Hollywood ( @wehocity ), as part of its Art on the Outside program exhibiting films by artists accessible on billboards along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, the Crenshaw Dairy Mart is pleased to present a film series of works by the founding artists collective and co-founders of the Crenshaw Dairy Mart, artists Patrisse Cullors ( @osopepatrisse ), noé olivas ( @calmatetupedo ), and alexandre ali reza dorriz ( @alexandrealirezadorriz ). On view continuously and hourly through May 31st, 2025, the three artists’ film works traverse through the founding tenets of the artist collective – Abolition, Ancestry, and Healing – investigating in their individual respective practices the sacred act of Black womens’ respite, prayers of caution when pulling at ‘the threads of the world,’ and meditations on water privatization and droughts through time.
