I was invited as Chief guest to this beautiful event of my cleft community . Thanks to speech pathologist Dr Balasubramaniam for the invite . I loved addressing the crowd of hundreds of cleft warriors and their families .
I was born with a cleft lip and When I was a little girl Dr SM Balaji was magnanimous to do a free cleft correction surgery for me that changed my life forever . It was a surreal moment to be there on the stage this day when he was honoured with life time achievement award .
Almost 23 years back I promised him that I will study well and will make him proud and his happy tears for me today stands a testimony to how great people can make huge differences in a normal girl’s life . He was always a good friend of appa . Dr Balaji is God for me .
I thank the universe for all the extraordinary incidents and amazing people in my life .
