Annabel Crabb Instagram – So thrilled to read that this incredible image by @tonyalbert is to be included in the first ever Australian exhibit in the @rencontresarles this year – the world’s longest running photography festival I believe? The show is called “On Country: Photography From Australia” and runs July – October in Arles. Swipe for details and other brilliant Australian participants.
I will never forget seeing this work and others in Albert’s Warakurna Superheroes series – I wandered into a Fremantle gallery with my friend @suedale1 and there they were, in all their extraordinary colours, leaping out of their frames and grabbing at me. How beautiful to think these works are gong to France to enthrall gallery-wanderers there. Thanks @photofestivalau and @sullivanstrumpf from whose Insta accounts I inexpertly copied these images, and congrats all.
