I had the good fortune to meet @allisonrussellmusic on stage through a fantastic concert at The Gorge in Seattle with @jonimitchell . We sat next to each other on a lilac couch while she played clarinet and we both sang back-up vocals with the Joni Jam peeps. I was immediately struck by her warmth and gentle kindness..
Subsequently we met on stage a couple of times more. Then she asked me if I’d like to record a song with her as a duet. I said ‘yes’ right away, without even hearing the song!
It turned out to be SUPERLOVER.. This one in the video! I love Allison most dearly..She’s a unique and special person and artist!
And I’m SO proud of this profound and haunting peace anthem we recorded together. It is absolute ‘balm’ for the soul in these troubled and troubling times…
