Dana DeLorenzo Instagram – 10 yrs ago today I had my 2nd callback and screen test for #AshVsEvilDead and it changed the trajectory of my life. Sam Raimi directed me behind the camera and I read a scene with Bruce Campbell @shemp_malone — the same scene that introduced Kelly in the pilot.
After years of rejections and screen tests that didn’t go my way, I never thought I’d get this part— especially with those big names at the helm. So I went into it with gratitude for the experience and told myself to just enjoy it! I was still nervous but everyone in the room made me feel at ease— showrunner @misterdeegs producer @aaronlam and Casting Directors @laurengreycasting @christyfaisoncd. Couldn’t hide my pure joy just *imagining* what this part would be like…
So I let it rip. And so did my pants.
Still can’t believe they chose me.
Playing Kelly was a gift, and it continues to be a gift in ways I never expected. Thank you all for giving me the chance to experience this wild and wonderful adventure! Ghostbeaters 4 Life!! 👊⚓️💜
