Janet Mbugua Instagram – Before heading to Ha Njeri’s, which I mentioned in my video last week, I took some time to reflect on Kenya’s current state—and especially the role of women’s movements.
Kenya is at a critical turning point. Corruption is rampant, access to basic services is dwindling, and political games seem to serve personal agendas over public good, leaving many to bear the weight of broken systems.
Through it all, women’s voices have remained steadfast. For generations, they’ve led movements, fought injustices, and driven meaningful change. Co-MCing Hon. Millie Mabona Odhiambo’s book launch reminded me how vital women’s leadership is. Now more than ever, we need their collective strength to demand accountability and shape a fair, just future for all.
