Lyra Rose is 19 months today and having her first solo session at her new nursery! Where has the time gone?! It really is true when they say ‘the nights are long but the years are short’ Mami and Ati love you 🤍
Heading into my last week of @chicagoonstage rehearsals and meeting the full cast today. Excitement is an understatement! But it doesn’t come w/o a bit of tough realisation. Yesterday I spoke w/ a man who said he and his wife felt so happy when I shared the tough times as well as the fun times because parenting really is a roller coaster. And I immediately felt the urge to share what I had filmed yesterday while Lyra was falling asleep on me…. I broke down into tears thinking how few the times will be this summer that I will get to do that again w/ her. But speaking to him (and his wife over FaceTime) reminded me that being a working parent is tough, and the guilt always kicks in. That’s why sharing our stories creates support that is crucial and reminds us we are not alone. This is to ALL OF US that are working hard to provide a wonderful life for our children. And I know that specifically in mine and @aljazskorjanec case, Lyra has a mom and dad who both do what they love and support each other in doing so, a priceless lesson for life and whatever her future may hold for her. We got this team. You’re all doing amazing 💪🏼 P.S. Good luck to Anna whom I met on FaceTime yesterday and has an 11month old little girl, but is about to go back to work as a primary school teacher. I know you’re nervous, but you’ll be amazing and all will be well! 🙌🏼 P.S.S. I was also wearing my #StrongGirlsClub jumper that @saradaviescc got me. Another little reminder that we are strong and we got this 💫

Next week I start working w/ the cast on stage, but having these gems of humans teach me the show has been an absolute privilege. Playing different parts, singing, dancing, and playing music for me…. #gifted #WorldBookDay is coming up this week and it is definitely being celebrated at home! The importance of creating a habit for our children to read books cannot be overstated. Lyra LOVES books and LOVES #Bluey so it felt perfect to celebrate this morning w/ the two together! At the moment I’m not able to read to her in the evenings before bed, so we have our little morning read together before the day starts. It’s great for her, and a beautiful way for us to bond. Thank you @OfficialBlueyTV @worldbookdaysocial for the book and bundle to celebrate such a special day! 📖🫶🏼
#gifted This is the only #AlmaHarmony laser machine in all of England & @theaestheticsdoctor has it! 🤩 I have been DYING to try it out. I have bad sun damage from years of not wearing SPF (learn from my mistakes and PLEASE wear SPF 🙏🏼), dark spots from pregnancy, and age spots that have all gotten more visible in the last few years. I’m very hopeful this will help clear them. I have scheduled in 4 sessions (1 every 4 weeks) and will update you all each time I visit. What I love about working w/ Dr. Ahmed is that he is a certified GP and understands the safety required when it comes to clinical treatments.
