But nothing compares to the joy I feel knowing we’re feeding someone who’s hungry, comforting someone who’s unwell, or being part of someone’s celebration.
To be a part of these moments however small makes it all worth it. Every challenge, every sacrifice fades when I see joy on someone’s face after a good meal.
That’s the magic of food. And that’s the soul of Akhoi.
