Maggie Beer Instagram – These beautiful Jurassic quail, the absolute hero of the very first lunch with friends the first week of January to kick-off my birthday celebrations that seems still to be going. There was so much happening and so much to organise that I was late to order them from Game Farm in NSW (who by the way, I’ve followed for the last 10 years at least with their products), so with a bit of magical organisation the team made it all happen, bringing help from Michael of Aldo’s meat in Adelaide to connect from the stop to save me the expense of having a last-minute delivery charge from Sydney. All that was necessary for an amazing feast was marinating the quail with my Vino Cotto, EVOO and rosemary and barbecuing for about 8 minutes only on the non-skin side and you can see what beauties they are! The simplicity of fabulous produce!
