Celebrated by the Tigala community, this grand nocturnal procession from Bengaluru’s Dharmaraya Swamy Temple sees a priest, symbolizing Draupadi, balancing the sacred Karaga—a floral-crowned pot—on his head, leading sword-wielding Veerakumaras through the city. In a moment of profound syncretism, the parade halts at a Muslim saint’s tomb, a testament to the festival’s spirit of unity.
