Shahana Goswami is no stranger to the spotlight – she’s been a part of numerous acclaimed films and series that continue to be watched and re-watched, including Rock On!!, Firaaq, Midnight’s Children, Bombay Begums, and A Suitable Boy, among others. More recently, though, one film took her to the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, where she won the Best Actress title. Written and directed by Sandhya Suri, Santosh tells the story of Santosh Saini – played by Goswami – a widow who inherits her late husband’s position as a police constable.
