Tiya Sircar Instagram – 55 years ago (yes, 55! 🤯), these two crazy kids defied societal norms and cultural expectation and CHOSE each other. 💖 And have spent the last five and a half decades fighting like hell to create a life my sister and I have been the chief beneficiaries of. And for that I am eternally grateful. It’s been a life full of love, laughs, vigorous debate (usually about politics— in case y’all wonder why I am the way I am 😂), good eats (courtesy of my mama), and ADVENTURE (courtesy of my pops, but all thanks to my mom’s indomitable sense of wanderlust). Don’t get me wrong, it hasn’t been all sunshine & roses. But they’ve found a way to persevere and make it work.
