Yola’s latest project, called My Way, is a bit of a sonic reintroduction for us and an opportunity for the artist — to tell her story on her own terms.
Today, Yola sits down with @kallao about making her new EP, tapping into her roots in the U.K.’s broken beat scene, writing an anthem for the children of Caribbean immigrants, and breaking free from what she calls “creative dictatorships.”
