Hello New York. So happy to be back. Today I celebrated Hallmark’s new series, “The Motherhood.” Single mom, Connie Britton, helps other single moms balance work, parenting, and self-care. She brings along her posse of expert coaches, who help transform each mom’s life. It’s a wonderful glimpse into the life of single mothers and how just a little love from the community can go a long way. The series premieres on Hallmark, May 5 @8/7c. @hallmarkchannel @conniebritton @cinemasociety @rosannaarquette @kathryngallagher @carlagugino

New York, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Started off today on the lower east side. Hit the bagel shop and Economy Candy. Headed up to the Frick Museum. Amazing. Took a bike ride in Central Park and headed down towards St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Picked up our friend Ricki Lake along the way and had great Thai food in the village. Then headed over to the Daryl Roth Theatre to see “Titanique.” Do yourself a favor my friends and go and see the show. If you want to see a hilarious, campy, shockingly clever musical, by a bunch of talented merry and gay prankster’s, go no further than the Daryl Roth Theater. It’s so funny, so clever, and so ridiculously delicious. If you don’t believe me here are some quotes from a handful of publications. “TITANIQUE IS FUCKING GREAT. SWIM, DONT WALK, to see this Celine Dion jukebox Fantasia! “ -Vulture Magazine “Very funny! Near, far, wherever you are, Céline Dion will be there, in this sendup which doubles down on Titanic and Céline Dion as modern camp icons -New York Times SENSATIONAL, HILARIOUS AND DERANGED. Titanique is, by a nautical mile, the funniest musical in town! -NewYork Post . Go support the theater and laugh your ass off. @titaniquemusical @darylroththeatre @cynde @warnermom2 @trevisan00 @rickilake

I went on a field trip this weekend with my girl posse (and Jon), to see the world premiere of REGENCY GIRLS at the Old Globe Theater. Where do I being? Regency Girls is a sensational and powerful new musical that brilliantly blends sharp wit, relevant topics, and important story telling with female solidarity and defiance. We need more of this kind of musical. In between uproarious laughter there were moments that sent chills down my spine. You might expect this musical to be a nostalgic reflection of a bygone era, but instead, it serves as an important wake up call and a reminder that the fight for gender equality is far from over and that the struggles faced by women over 200 years ago, still echo loudly in our society today. It is a raucous, feisty and racy musical that has unbelievable depth. When the four heroins set out on a road trip, their journey becomes a chaotic blend of rebellion, comedic mishaps, and feminist awakenings. The trip forces these privileged young ladies to confront systematic oppression and limited female autonomy. It cleverly combines the charm of Jane Austen with the rebellious spirit of Thelma & Louise. The book by Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan explodes with clever dialogue and anachronistic humor that kept the audience laughing while simultaneously addressing serious themes like female anatomy and social expectations. The songs by Amanda Green and music by Curtis Moore will undoubtable become the new anthems for young women everywhere. If you’re in the area, I suggest you see it at the Old Globe Theater before it undoubtedly moves to Broadway and tickets are crazy expensive. Regency Girls was my favorite show all year! @jencrittenden @gaballgreen @theoldglobe @regencygirlsmusical @amangreen @krystinaalabado @katerockwellnyc @ryannreds @susanhoffmanhyman @sudihoff
