I met Val Kilmer when I was fresh out of University. A group of us were lucky enough to visit a set he was working on in London. To me he was a movie star, to him I was a shy kid on a set. He didn’t have to take the time with us, but he did. He was engaging and kind, he bought us all Chinese food and encouraged us to chase our dreams. I never forgot that meeting or how thoughtfully he spoke with us. RIP #valkilmer Thank you for being so kind.

And another appreciation post! This one is for Annie, who makes the most incredible Bao buns and coconut curry! Her restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ambleside – The Lake District. She and her family were so hospitable and the food is a delight. It’s a little place so I’d recommend booking in advance. It’s just her cooking so be prepared for a small but delicious, authentic menu in a cosy setting. ❤️
Even in a mud fight @katrinadurden does graceful kicks while I dig around, flailing like a dirty little pig. Fun fact we learned the Ninja turtle dance on this job which I’m sure will come in useful any day now. Any day now… 📹 @emjaybassett
Had the most wonderful stay @daffodilhotel Grasmere. The North of England is home to some of the most impressive landscapes, and the generous helpings of homemade apple pie are a welcome antidote to tired feet. Northern hospitality always comes with a smile, generous helpings, and a cup of tea. It’s not hard to see why Beatrix Potter drew inspiration for Peter Rabbit in this beautiful part of England. And just a short drive from the serene beauty of Grasmere is Ambleside, a hidden treasure nestled in between lush greenery and mountains, perfect for filming Peter Rabbit! I hadn’t been to the Lake District before but I’ll definitely be going back. And yes, that teddy bear coat kept me toasty even in minus temperatures!
