Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Lesley University, May 2025 Graduating with my master’s degree (!!) feels like more than an achievement—it feels like a deep calling realized. True growth, energy, and passion—manifested. After nearly a decade of inner work and building a new life, I’m so grateful for this moment in time. To my highest self—for taking this wild leap away from everything I knew and making it happen 🙌. To my boys ♥️—for the little sacrifices made & love you gave, each day to honor and support this dream 🙏. And to my family, friends—new and old—my colleagues/classmates, professors/teachers, and community, I give thanks: for rooting me on, encouraging me day in and day out, and affording me the grace, strength, and space to step fully into these past years of clinical training. Today, I stand grounded and ready to support others on their journeys of becoming—through self-discovery, healing, and transformation. The connectedness I feel in holding safe, compassionate space for those who seek the undertaking is such lifeblood now. To possibility, hope, and healing, all. Non sibi sed toti 🤍

Hey Everyone ~ I am so moved by Judi / “Nana” in this video. Here’s the reality: We all know someone who would benefit from psychedelic-assisted therapy because we all know someone who is fighting a serious mental health battle. I’m so grateful to Judi Fitts for sharing her story and experience. I will respond to comments below! #PAT #Psychedelicassistedpsychotherapy

“We have to share this with the world” -@marcuscapone What an incredibly powerful night at the premiere of In Waves and War at DOCNYC. @inwavesandwar @docfestnyc Grateful to have shared this emotional journey with the real heroes of the film, @marcuscapone @mattyborders234 and @dj_shipley85, their families, and the amazing folks who helped this film come to life. It was a privilege to witness the courage and resilience of these brave men—and the powerful women by their side who helped them rebuild after the darkest of times. To the incredible wives @ambafab and @patsyshipley81 whose strength and determination helped save their husbands when they were struggling- strong, badass women like you are the backbone of this story and of so many families impacted by war. This documentary is deeply personal to me, not just as an executive producer, but as a passionate advocate for mental health and psychedelic-assisted therapy. These veteran’s sacrifices go beyond the battlefield, and remind us of the strength it takes to survive and heal. Thank you to everyone who made this film possible and to the families who trusted the filmmakers with their stories. Deep bow of gratitude to said filmmakers Bonni Cohen @bcshenk and Jon Shenk @jonshenk @actualfilmsdocs super producer Jessica Anthony @j_anthony_510, medicine workers at @ambiolifesciences, Nolan Williams @stanfordbsl conducting #ibogaine research, and the rest of the team/community/supporters who made this film possible. It is a MUST see. Complete love and respect to my husband and fellow EP Peter Palandjian @peter.palandjian for walking, talking, beating this drum by my side. Our mission to affect mental health options for vets, for ALL~ won’t stop. “It is our sincere hope that this film will shine a light on the healing potential of psychedelic-assisted therapies, helping veterans and their families find a path to peace. Ultimately, our vision is clear: a future where veterans can access the most advanced healthcare options available. At vets, we are committed to making this vision a reality, whatever it takes.” @veteransolutions Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions. 📷 Eugene Gologursky & @thestewartofny

Last week, Boston showed up. I’m still holding the emotion of what we witnessed at the sold-out In Waves and War screening at Coolidge Theater. This powerful, deeply human doc tells the story of Navy SEALs Marcus Capone, Matty Roberts & DJ Shipley—and their courageous journey beyond the battlefield. After years of service, they faced internal wars: PTSD, TBI, addiction, suicidal ideation, and a broken system offering only meds. It was Marcus’s wife, Amber, who found psychedelic-assisted therapy—admittedly, in desperation, as a last resort—and ultimately, the path to true healing. This film honors these heroes’ transformation—and the fierce love of the women and their families who stood beside them. In Waves and War is more than a film. It’s a movement. A wake-up call. And a vision for a future where deep, transformational healing is possible. That night, we raised nearly $1M for @homebaseprogram—founded by the Red Sox Foundation & MGH—supporting thousands of veterans, service members & families. I’ve had the honor of serving as a counseling intern there this past year, and it’s changed my life. We also raised awareness for @vets_solutions, founded by Marcus & Amber, connecting vets with life-saving psychedelic-assisted therapy while we push for overdue legislation. We lose 40 veterans a day to suicide. We must do better. Huge thanks to ALL of our sponsors, to our hosts—my husband Peter Palandjian & John Fish—and to our powerhouse committee incl. Linda Henry, John Henry & Tom Werner. Deep gratitude to the brilliant clinicians and Dr.’s from @massgeneral, @brighamandwomens @danafarber & McLean’s hospital ( beyond!) who joined us—and stayed for the Q&A with Marcus & Matty filmmaker Jon Shenk. It was the most impactful screening I’ve been part of in 25 years in film/TV. The audience was collectively engrossed. Drawn in and absorbing the hope and promise of this field. As I near graduation with my Master’s in Counseling Psychology next month, I am more certain than ever: This work saves lives. We are committed and advancing 🙏💪🤍 @inwavesandwar

An HONOR to introduce and stand with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Professor Emeritus at Boston University School of Medicine, President of the Trauma Research Foundation, and author of the New York Times bestseller, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma. *Arguably THE Doctor and leading expert on Trauma, worldwide, who we should be listening to on this topic. It is a true honor, our Dr. van der Kolk. Along with director of training and education at the Center for the Neuroscience of Psychedelics, researcher and Dr. Franklin King who gave phenomenal and courageous remarks today. And, Winthrop, MA Police Dept Lieutenant (and MAPS trained psychedelic assisted psychotherapist!) Sarko Gergerian. Incredible turnout on the #Boston, #Massachusetts State House stairs today for a press conference on ballot Question 4 with a group of caring and responsible medical / mental healthcare professionals who plan to vote: Yes on 4, to allow for regulated, therapeutic access options, namely psychedelic assisted therapy, for Massachusetts residents, next Tuesday! 🙏 @yes4ma @bessel_van #DrFranklinKing @SarkoGergerian #yeson4 #MassachusettsforMentalHealthOptions #thebodykeepsthescore #trauma #PTSD #psychedelics Compassion, #hope, and #healing are on the ballot Mass! @bostonu @massgeneralbrigham @massgeneral
When I first read The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.. it so completely validated so many of my experiences and my responses towards past experiences. It helped contextualize very confusing areas of my life- to clear up misunderstandings, about my own self, that had brought a lot of turmoil and shame. I began to see how overwhelming experiences affect the development of the brain & mind, and how my mind/body had become conditioned to respond to certain things in the years/decades after, in maladaptive ways. And, that there were ways to overcome these challenging responses/ways that had seemed to me to be my norm/baseline. The author, Bessel van der Kolk is a pioneer in the trauma world. He has helped so many others, like me, find a new lens with which to view their world- past, present, & future. I am grateful to him beyond measure. When I listened to him speak on the #Massachusetts State House steps yesterday in support of psychedelic-assisted-therapy for healing trauma, I became filled with emotion. Just so moved by his service and work, he is so clear in his understanding of how trauma survivors tick.. If you’re curious have a listen to this clip, maybe it resonates for some of you. Maybe it helps educate for others. He is a brilliant, devoted, exceptional Doctor.
