Continuing the seasonal sakura pieces, here is a beautiful sakura tart that I purchased in Tokyu Food Show, a shopping center that is filled with all sorts of take-away desserts. This was from a shop called Gateaux de Voyage, and the visual was so cute that I thought it’d be perfect to paint. This tart had a custard crust, raspberry paste, sakura sponge cake, sakura cream, and was topped with a salt-preserved sakura flower.
This piece is a collaboration with @suki___jp , which is dedicated to showcasing people and the different things they like (suki) about Japan. In my case, we created three different videos, and one was about food in Japan and how it tied to my food illustration work. They came and visited my studio to film some of the painting process, and made the reel super aesthetic. They will be releasing two other videos featuring other things I like about Japan (Japanese Retro Cafes and Japanese Antiques) so do keep an eye on their content!

桜テーマが続きます！こちらは渋谷の東急フードショーの @gateauxdevoyage_official で買った桜のタルトです。カスタードの生地にフランボワーズペースト、桜風味のスポンジ、桜クリーム、そして桜の塩漬けでこんな可愛いビジュアルになって、イラストにピッタリだと思いました！
実は、今回のイラストはコラボのためです。この間、いろんな人の「日本の好きなところ」を紹介するアカウント @suki___jp に声をかけられました。動画を全部で3本撮影しましたが、その中の一つは「日本の食べ物×フードイラスト」について語って、絵を描いてる時に私のスタジオに来てくださって撮影してくれました。かなりおしゃれに仕上がりましたので、ぜひご覧ください！ちなみに今月はもう２本の動画、「喫茶店」と「アンティーク」についての動画も投稿してくださるそうですので、お楽しみに！
