This week, as part of a film I hosted for @visitcalifornia, I was introduced to this extraordinary invention: FreedomTrax (@freedomtrax)

The FreedomTrax is a manual wheelchair accessory designed to enhance outdoor access accessibility. It’s a battery operated device controlled by a joystick, enabling manual wheelchairs to navigate sand, hiking trails… And even snow!
Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen. This was my FIRST EVER time on a California beach. It was incredibly emotional.
In Nature Track’s words “we are in the business of making people happy”. Honestly, I can attest, they REALLY are.

If you want to buy one they cost $6.5k but you can RENT them from @naturetrack_ for nothing. It is available to anyone who uses a wheelchair or requires assistance accessing outdoor spaces. If you don’t have a manual wheelchair NatureTrack can lend you one (I assume, USA only – please contact them to find out).
