Gia Kim Instagram – Winter times are usually a little tougher for me – shorter days, longer nights, chilliness forcing us to retract and go inwards. Met with unforeseen circumstances and already being a hermit by default, the fine line between hibernating and readying for spring and retracting into a shell of intrusive thoughts and perception of weakened self becomes a precarious one to navigate. But I also cannot deny these are the times that strengthen me, the necessary force of the sealed cocoon that gives the caterpillar its ability to fly. The darker the shadow implies stronger the light right next to it. If you’ve been feeling funky and erratic this winter, know you’re not alone. Even the lone wolf eventually finds its pack.
