Nandita Das Instagram – Didn’t know that this early and this is how I would be ‘announcing’ my next directorial film! But here it is!
I had first written the story 20 years ago! Just hadn’t felt emotionally equipped to actually put it down on paper. But now I do and have a fully bound script ready to be made into an intimate and nuanced film. Our very own Marriage Story!
Slowly and surely I’m gathering the best possible cast and crew for the film. And for funding trying a different route this time – the Film Market! It is at a new festival in Chandigarh but has women I admire, helming it, so I know it will be special. If you are or know a producer/financier who cares about such stories, believes in the director’s vision and wants to make a film about relationships, then DM me…now!
