This morning I had the pleasure of volunteering with @bigissueuk on a van run, distributing magazines and meeting vendors. Do purchase a weekly magazine this Christmas time! It’s a brilliant read, often strikes up inspiring conversation, and supports vendors working hard to earn a legitimate income: buying the Christmas special editions for £2.50 and selling them on for £5. If you can’t get to a vendor, vendor support kits are available on The Big Issue’s website for £35.00 which provide vendors the tools and training they need to take the steps to move out of poverty for good. ♥️📚
reflecting on my visit to @haydos_org last week. My sis @laramelda introduced me to this beautiful animal sanctuary where she adopted one of her sweet fur babies from. The the walk-around was a humbling experience- witnessing the level of compassion shown to these abandoned animals. @haydos_org ‘s loving devotion to these previously unloved, cast out and sometimes disabled creatures moved me so deeply!!! The world desperately needs more unconditional love and compassion and @haydos_org truly is a haven for it. 🫏 🩷

✨📣 absolutely thrilled to announce that my nominated Changemaker: Evagle of Katakata, has made the @bigissueuk ‘s Changemaker top 100 list for 2025! Francklin Evagle is the founder of Katakata, a beautiful arts cafe/ event space that provides space, resources, delicious nutritious food and joy to the community. The environment is welcoming and uplifting, and dishes served nourish the body and the spirit. Kata Kata originates from the Cameroonian dialect of Douala, meaning to be creative in overcoming challenges in the face of difficulty. The space doubles as a food bank once a week, and regularly hosts events unifying the community through music, art and poetry. Evagle is the heart of the space, and champions multiple charitable initiatives across the globe. He is an example to all of true leadership and embodied purpose. I am so happy to announce his rightful place on The Big Issue’s 2025 list of notable Changemakers across the UK! 📣 I am also delighted to announce that I am now an official ambassador for @bigissueuk 🩷🫀✍️📚 here’s to community, creativity and connection 🫶🌍♥️
